The Birthday Breakfast - Part 6

Today was THE day! It all started with our traditional 'Breakfast in Bed'. THE day is the one and only day out of the year that we get to eat breakfast in bed. This years breakfast consisted of a Chocolate Chocolate Chip muffin, honeydew melon, grapes and milk. THE day started around 5:30am, but she didn't realize that it was THE day - of course, we made her go back to sleep until 6:30am!

Daddy surprised her with a Barbie Scooter and Mom surprised her with some knitting rings and needles. After breakfast and opening up the gifts, it was get dressed quickly and hurry off to school. It was raining cats and dogs and we were bringing the cupcakes for snack, to continue the celebrations at school. We told her that her friend was going to come over for a play day after school, so she had no idea that today was her birthday party! And in the car on the ride home, they had planned out step-by-step what they were going to play when we got to the house. Little did she know that we had other plans for her. When we got home from school, it was quickly change into our party clothes and hurry off to the Mall to meet Daddy and get the party started. Her friends enjoyed making their very own stuffed animals and participating in the silly games that the Build-A-Bear people planned for them.
It took about 30 minutes for the kids to stuff their animals, pick out the bows and sing Happy Birthday (Cha, Cha, Cha) to the Birthday girl. This is Spots, the newest addition to our family.
We ate Barbie cake and ice cream
and took a Merry-Go-Round ride.
All of the kids took home their Build-A-Bears and a little onsie with a picture of the birthday girl and the words "You are Beary Special to me" on them. We cleaned up our mess and headed home to unload the stuff and to drop our friend back home too. It was a busy day filled with lots of surprises and of course, sugar. Grandmama and Poppie came to celebrate the occasion too and we cooked Hamburgers with Taylor, Samantha and baby Kaydance on Saturday. What a great birthday weekend!! Look how great Daddy looks too! He's really trimming down!! You go daddy, we are so proud of you!!!
