Where does the time go?

I can't believe that the last time I blogged was February 2013!! Sorry Sarah!! I cannot remember all the things that have happened since February but I can try to highlight some of the things I do remember...
In May we traveled to London and Russia and had a great family vacation.  It was the first time Sarah had been out of the country and we had so much fun.  We did a LOT of walking in London and got to ride a double decker bus, see Big Ben, visit the Crown Jewels at the Tower and learn about Mid-evil times. We also visited the British Museum and caught the end of a parade or sorts at Buckingham Palace, saw the Eye and took a river boat tour.  We rode the Tube (subway) and got pretty good at getting around. Of course we walked and walked and walked, but it was great. Typical London weather little rainy/misty and on the cooler side (60's) than we were experiencing back in Alabama (80's). None the less we had a great time together and are thankful for all the things we got to do and see in such a short amount of time. Didn't enjoy the food so much and found ourselves gravitating to McDonalds and Pizza Hut. There was one meal at a pub that we ate Fish and Chips, but it wasn't anything to write home about. Don't think we found the really good places - we were not adventurous enough I guess. We'll have to go back to test it out again.
The Tower - Queen's Crown Jewels were inside.

Then we traveled to Russia for some more fun. It was a little warmer there, and actually quite enjoyable. Our time was WELL spent visiting. Getting to see the Country that Sarah's sisters and brothers come from.  Delighted in our time together. 4 GREAT DAYS!!

Once we got back from our vacation, we jumped right into Foster Care Camp at Shocco Springs and then Book Club and doing respite care for families that wanted to take vacations etc. The Summer flew by so fast and landed us to this past week. Our first week of school and birthday celebrations.

Whew!!! We decided to have a smaller party this year with some of our closest friends. So, on the second day of school, 4 of Sarah's friends came home from school with her and we had a spend the night party.  Sarah S., Hannah, Lauren and Reagan have been Sarah Grace's friends since 4k I think.  We had a snack and changed clothes and then went bowling for a few strings, then it was back to the house for some cookie cake and ice cream and more playing.  It was a great time with our friends and one we will remember for years to come.  Happy Birthday Sarah!! We LOVE You!
