Birthday and 3rd Grade at the same time

This year our traditional breakfast in bed on your birthday happened to fall on the first day of school too! Is there any other way to start the 3rd grade than on your birthday AND with breakfast in bed!?! I think that is pretty awesome!  So, our morning started off quite early that day- about 6:30am, so that we would have enough time to get everything done before we had to bolt out the door to get to school. She enjoyed a chocolate chocolate chip muffin with fruit and of course a teacup with milk and flowers to adorn the lap table. We had a little (FC)visitor that day too and he got to celebrate with us also. That made it even more special too.  She opened the presents from Daddy and Me and then it was quickly off to school. She was excited to get to school and share her special day with the others also. She brought in rice crispy treats for everyone to enjoy. Nothing like getting something sweet on the first day of school -  It was a great day and so glad it came on the first day of school too!!
