Golf Anyone?

This morning we got to participate in the 3rd Annual Walk-A-Thon for Evangel Classical Christian School. A special THANK YOU to our family and friends who sponsored us to walk. We appreciate it greatly!!! Our school does not do many fund raisers, and this one specifically goes toward scholarships for the kids, so it was even more special to be able to participate in it. The golf course was beautiful and so peaceful. We had a nice sunny day and the kids were all pumped up to be out in the fresh air (and out of school for a short time) to experience God's beauty in all that he created. Oh! And of course to walk the golf course before the other dads play in the golf tournament. As I walked along side of the kids, it was very funny to observe how quickly a small walk turned into the "dreaded mile" in their minds - especially when you are 5. :) You see, they could see the older kids far ahead of them and began to fret that they would never catch up to them and that they were too far away. It reminded me "to keep my eyes on the prize". When we were involved in our own little group close by, we were all having a great time. But when we looked way ahead of us, it seemed impossible to catch up. Needless to say, we all made it back to the club house and our comfy blanket to rest our weary feet. The kids should sleep well tonight with all the fresh air and exercise they have gotten today.

After we walked, the teachers shared their favorite dance moves and we all enjoyed cold water and a snack from our sponsors. Thank you sponsors, they were just what we needed after our walk! Here are some photos of our time this morning.
We love you Mrs. Moore!!!
