Anticipating Christmas Morning

The month of December is generally a busy month for us, but this year it was extra special. We celebrated Matt's parents 50th Wedding Anniversary and Matt's Mom's 70th Birthday on the same day (20th)!  Matt's sister Jennifer (Ber) came up from Tampa and we all traveled to Tennessee for a fun filled weekend to congratulate Jud & Johnnie on their anniversary. While we were in Tennessee we saw the Rocketttes, went to the Grand Ole Opre at the Ryman Auditorium, shopped at the HUGE mall and of course did lots of eating.  When we got home from our trip, it was straight into Christmas mode and finishing up the last minute shopping, wrapping and cooking.

Our cookie plate was all set for Santa, but we didn't get to leave him any cookies because we got home too late from church on Christmas Eve. Sarah fell asleep during the church service and it was straight to bed for her and us when we got home.  When she woke up the next day, she did not realize that it was Christmas.  She came into our room and asked if she could color with the giant princess coloring book that Taylor had given her. She went out into the kitchen and got the book brought it back to us and then turned around and went back out into the kitchen. I think it must have taken her that long for her to realize that she saw presents!!  Santa left her a Dog Beauty Salon! She had hid it at Target one day when we went shopping and told me to tell Santa where it was!  We had a great Christmas together!
